North coast driving: Grand Baie and Cap Malheureux
Grand Baie is the busiest tourist town in the north of Mauritius, with Pereybère beside it and the red chapel of Cap Malheureux a short drive further. From SSR Airport via the M1 and M2 the trip is often about an hour and a quarter. The S-Presso is the Tiloto car that parks most easily.
How do you drive the north without spending the day in traffic?
Arrive from the motorway and park before you try to “just see” the waterfront in a moving car. Grand Baie rewards one parked base and short walks. Pereybère is the swim when the town feels full. Cap Malheureux is a photo stop of a few minutes, not an afternoon, unless you are eating nearby. Mont Choisy is the long lagoon between the town and the west side of the bay.

Which car parks in Grand Baie?
The S-Presso at Rs 1,300 per day is the north-coast default for two people. Take the Swift if you are more than two or you are carrying beach kit for several days. The Ertiga fits a family and needs a real car park, not a creative gap. Collect it at the airport using the SSR handover notes.
